Draft version 2026-09-06
StreamHawk ("we", "us") is operated by Kieran Hearne, based in the UK, at streamhawk.co.uk. This policy explains what personal data StreamHawk collects, why, and what rights you have over it, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
| Data | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Display name, email address | Whichever account you sign in with (Kick, Google, or Facebook) |
| Kick channel information (channel slug, live status, stream titles) | Kick's API, once you connect your Kick account |
| Chat messages sent during your own live streams | Kick's chat webhook — kept only long enough to compute highlight-detection signals, not stored as a permanent archive |
| Video files you choose to post | Google Drive or OneDrive, only from the specific folder you point us at |
| OAuth access/refresh tokens | Whichever platforms you connect (Kick, Google, Facebook, Discord webhook URL) — stored encrypted, never in plain text |
| Newsletter opt-in status | Your own choice in account settings |
The lawful bases we rely on: performance of a contract (running the service you asked for), consent (the newsletter, and specific OAuth permissions you approve), and legitimate interest (security).
We don't sell your data. It passes through the infrastructure providers and platforms needed to actually run the service:
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers themselves offer (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) rather than operating our own separate arrangement — this is standard practice for a service this size, but worth knowing.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or move it elsewhere. You can also withdraw newsletter consent at any time via the one-click unsubscribe link in any email, or the toggle in your account settings.
To exercise any of these, contact privacy@streamhawk.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've mishandled your data.
We use one strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. It isn't used for tracking or advertising, and — because it's strictly necessary for the service to function — it doesn't require a cookie-consent banner under PECR.
StreamHawk isn't intended for anyone under 13. If you're under the age required by any platform you connect (Kick, Twitch, etc. may set a higher minimum themselves), please don't use this service.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the version date at the top. Continued use of StreamHawk after a change means you accept the updated policy.
